JUMPERS AND GEAR

As part of the registration fee, all players will be issued with their own football jumper. This jumper will be retained by the player and not returned to the Club at the end of the season.

All new players to the Club will also receive an Ajax Football Club jacket. Players who have grown out of their jacket may purchase a new jacket through the Club.

The Ajax Junior Football Club plays under the St Kilda football club colours. Therefore, players are required to purchase St Kilda Football Club socks, bands of red, white and black. Players also are required to purchase football shorts (these are not soccer shorts) -one pair each of black and white which represent home and away games. If skins are to be worn under the shorts, only those in beige will be permitted.

Football boots are also mandatory for play. Players must provide their own boots. Studs can be of the fixed variety or removable nylon studs. Metal studs may not be worn under any circumstances.

The Ajax Junior Football Club strongly recommends that all players wear helmets (available at good sports stores). It is compulsory at the Club that all players in the age groups of U9-U11 must wear helmets for both training and matches. Mouth guards for all age groups are compulsory for both training and matches. Players will not be permitted to play without mouth guards. A dentist should preferably fit mouth guards.

RELEVANT AGE

Players must be under the relevant age on 01/01/08. Under 17’s players must be under the relevant age on 01/01/08 but the rules allow 4 “over age” players to play as Under 17’s if they turn 17 before 01/07/08

MSJFL

AJAX is part of the Moorabbin Saints Junior Football League.

Players who were previously registered with the Club, have a registration number and do not need to complete an MSJFL registration form. ALL new players and their parents/guardians must complete and sign an MSJFL form, found under the Registrations Heading above and return this document together with a copy of the player’s birth certificate or birth extract to the Club Registrar, Gilly Guss, PO Box 1067 Elsternwick 3185. All players MUST be registered both with the Ajax Junior Football Club and the MSJFL.
